Aloo Chana Chat Ramadan Recipe

Aloo chana chaat recipe

 

Ingredients:

  • Chickpeas 1 Tin
  • One good-sized Potato
  • One Large Fresh Crunchy Tomato
  • One Small to Medium sized Onion
  • Chaat Masala (I got mine from Tesco)
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Chili Powder to taste
  • Lemon Juice
  • Green Chillies
  • Coriander Leaves

Direction:

Wash and boil the Chickpeas (I’m using the pre-boiled ones from a can), Boil and Peel the Potato and dice it along with the Tomato and Onion. Mildly fry the Onion chunks (to make them softer and less crunchy) adding Tomatoes and Chilies to the frying pan just a minute or two before taking it off the fire. Add your freshly ‘mildly’ fried ingredients along with a spoon or so of oil they were fried in to the Potatoes and Chickpeas in a bowl. Now Add lemon juice enough to mildly moist the Chaat (do go by your personal taste also) Add Salt, Red Chili Powder and Chaat Masala (all to taste, my standard is one teaspoon) Mix Well and Garnish with Coriander Leaves.
